Walnut speckled blue

Things are starting slowly at the workshop. The holidays in Spain were so intense, that I had trouble returning to pottery again =) This stoneware was thrown before the summer break and glazed last week, and I'm very pleased with the "old painting pistolet spitting" effect even though this pistolet is in the dustbin by now.

The bottoms are glazed to prevent any leaking.

Loosely followed inspiration:

And yet another poppy field. This time, I nailed some canvas on a frame, and it was much easier than working on an embroidery hoop.

CaCu+Ti

After almost a year of onlooking, because of the few times I tried and fought a losing battle with clay, I got the courage to learn how to throw. And it was very rewarding.

I mixed my favourite shades of white and blue-green. A lot of surprises ensued.

Blackberries

Last year it was cherries, but since we've been having such an early spring, by the time I felt like drawing some faience crockery, there were only blackberries growing around our workshop.

Flower pots

This was why I originally started doing pottery, to make unusual holders for plants like kokedamas:

The same kokedama in an "eggshell" pot:

Another eggshell, waiting for its inhabitatant

And the previous one holding some lithops leslie

... in bloom out in the sun:

And here's a great site for all bonsai and accent plants lovers, with many really beautiful pots:
