Was at a local pottery fair this weekend and of course I didn't return with empty hands. Because second most enjoyable thing after making pottery, is buying some pottery =)

Pots!
So nice to see a glaze finally working! It was superb on a tester, a catastrophe the first time on some bowls... that were still as bad glazed and fired a third time... and now I managed to apply the right layer of the stuff to have these hues of parme and green.

And this one is a slight intruder, being of a different glaze, but still from the same series of base and oxydes used.

hues of blue and pink
A vase for succulents that we picked up in Amsterdam.

There were so many of them, it was a difficult choice! This "bunny" came home with us, but will be having a pot of his own, being such a prickly neighbour...

And my starflower is blooming! It is supposed to taste like cucumber but I like the blue blossoms so much I don't dare to cut it.

And now waiting for these to mature :)

What is fiery but doesn't burn?
A rococo tulip, also known as parrot.
These come from the neighbourhood farm.
And this was in Keukenhof:
Don't they look like they are smoldering?

Wabikusa
Wabikusa is a kokedama, a ball of soil covered with moss, but with semi-aquatic plants.
Why aquatic? Because they are so easy to use, any part can be snipped off and replanted, and if you spot any aphids, you can submerge the wabikusa in bucket of water for two days to kill off and wash away all those insects. And they flower too! Just keep them always moist and nourished, an orchid fertilizer does the deed.

String moss and hair grass (eleocharis), this ball is the one from last year. It was full of river buttercups and forest moss that gradually got replaced by an aquatic species.

Peonies?
No, tulips!

Love those frosted petals on the last one, so ethereal...
